The film uses stop-motion animation, but is rather unusual in method. All animated figures of humans and animals are represented by glass figurines.
Included with Criterion's release of Invention for Destruction (#1016)
A note at the beginning of the film indicates that it is dedicated to "Czech glassmakers". Their skill was tested in making the demanding glass figurines that allowed them to be stop-motion animated. Unlike flexible armature puppets, the glass figurines had to be created in all the necessary poses.
