First appearance of Granny.
The building concierge seems to be fashioned after director Friz Freleng, albeit with more hair than in his "Hasty Hare" cameo.
As in Putty Tat Trouble (1951), we can see a sign on the building directly adjacent to Tweety's that says, Drink Friz! 6 Delicious Flavors. It is a reference to Friz Freleng, but slightly altered. In Putty Tat Trouble (1951), it was referenced as a gelatin dessert. Now it's a drink.
The advertisement "Drink Friz! Six Delicious Flavors" appears multiple times on a building.
The title refers to the 1945 novel "Cannery Row" by American author John Steinbeck. It was published in 1945. Cannery Row takes place on a small fictional street lined with sardine fisheries in Monterey known as Cannery Row.
