In 1951, Joan Dowling married comedy actor Harry Fowler. Sadly, in 3 short years when she was just 26, she died due to gas poisoning (March 31, 1954) in London, England (suicide by asphyxiation. At the inquest, Fowler's affair extra-marital was a consideration.
