Paul Temple's Triumph (1950)

Trivia

Paul Temple's Triumph

Edit
"Square four, as the commentator said," says Steve. She's referring to the early football commentaries on BBC Radio, which made use of a specially printed eight-squared pitch grid in the "Radio Times" for listeners to follow the action. This is also thought to be the origin of the phrase "Back to Square One".
The Temples drive an Aston Martin Two-Litre Sports (latterly known as a DB1), reg. EGT 293.
Paul Temple flies into "Northolt Airport". R A F Northolt was used by B E A as its London airport between 1946 and 1952 whilst Heathrow was being built.
Based on the BBC Radio serial "News of Paul Temple" (broadcast over November to December 1939) by Francis Durbridge, which was novelized by the author later in 1940 and remade/abridged for radio in 1944.
Never having had the benefit of a theatrical release in the USA, this film's stateside premiere took place in Los Angeles Wednesday 25 June 1952 on KNBH (Channel 4).
