American Film Institute Catalog of Feature Films 1941-1950 erroneously lists the release date as 11 February 1949; this is incorrect. This film did not go before the cameras until June 1949; the IMDb release date of 11 February 1950 is correct.
Female lead Jacqueline White appeared in 42 feature films from 1942-52, included two classic, Crossfire (1947) and The Narrow Margin (1952), which was her last role. Long retired from the film industry, she has recently begun appearing at film festivals and conventions.
In this film Tom Tyler plays a character called the Ringo Kid. In Stagecoach (1939) Tyler portrayed Luke Plummer, the nemesis of the Ringo Kid, portrayed by John Wayne.
The brother of the heroine (Jacqueline White) is played by Robert Clarke, who appeared in several Tim Holt westerns. He's much better known, however, as the star (and sometime director) of several 1950s science-fiction movies, including The Man from Planet X (1951), The Hideous Sun Demon (1958) and Beyond the Time Barrier (1960)
