The Mouse on 57th Street (1961)

Trivia

The Mouse on 57th Street

Edit
Lacy's and Spiffany's are puns on the iconic NYC stores Macy's and Tiffany's. Chaste Bank (as a take-off on Chase Bank) also makes an appearance.
The rum cake is sold at 'Antione's Bakerie' - a play on the well-known Antoine's Bakery, which opened in 1840. The spelling of the name of the Bakerie (with the 'i' and 'o' reversed) is correct as shown here - it is not a typo.
The 1961 NYC based cop sitcom, Car 54, Where are You? is nodded to here with the inept pair of flatfoots chasing the diamond thief.
This is the first cartoon where David H. DePatie has produced many cartoons before moving on to DePatie-Freleng Enterprises with Friz Freleng to work on Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies and The Pink Panther shorts after Warner Bros. Cartoons shut down in 1963.
In the New York Journal, there is an article on the right titled "What's Up, Doc?"
