Inger Stevens and William Windom in The Farmer's Daughter (1963)

Trivia

The Farmer's Daughter

Edit
Actress Cathleen Nesbitt suffered from arthritis and only agreed to do the show, thinking it wouldn't sell. Her home at the time was in Europe and New York City. Her contract allowed her to participate in only a certain amount of episodes and Inger made sure Cathleen's scenes were shot first thing so Nesbitt didn't have to stay on set all day.
Inger Stevens received her second and final Emmy nomination for the show's second season.
Inger Stevens' last television project.
The second season took a much more dramatic turn and even incorporated dramatic music to underscore certain scenes. Some of the plots include: Glen learning about Katy's lost love, Katy learning about the first Mrs. Morley and Katy facing two rivals for Glen's affections.
In 1962, NBC aired a TV movie version of "The Farmer's Daughter" with Peter Lawford and Lee Remick. That year a pilot was made featuring William Windom and Inger Stevens. The pilot also contained some footage of Inger promoting the show. It sold and this pilot was re-tooled to become the two-part pilot when the show premiered on ABC in 1963.
