Guy Williams, who played Sindbad, was no stranger to swashbuckling--he played the masked hero in the Disney TV series Zorro (1957).
In the original Arabian Nights stories, Sinbad was called Sindbad. That name was used for this film to avoid confusion with THE SEVENTH VOYAGE OF SINBAD (1957).
Outtakes of the film's "Dragon-Ogre" were used briefly in the film Natural Born Killers.
