The only original animation in this short is Sam falling and his parachute being filled with silverware. Everything else is either recycled from Hare Lift (1952), Roman Legion-Hare (1955), and Sahara Hare (1955), along with an episode of The Bugs Bunny Show (1960) which used this same plot.
"Satan's Waitin' " also uses the go to Hades plot element, but with Sylvester Cat meeting ol' Scratch.
Last Bugs and Sam short directed by Friz Freleng before Warner Bros. Cartoons shuts down in 1963.
This version of Satan (Satan's Waitin' used a bulldog character) bears a passing resemblance to Mel Blanc.
Despite re-using old animation, Mel Blanc re-dubbed the old dialogue, and William Lava composed a new soundtrack for the old clips.
