After this movie was finished, Tony Curtis and Christine Kaufmann adopted Monsieur Cognac. He lived out his life with Curtis and his third wife after Kaufmann had left and divorced him.
One of Christine Kaufmann's least favorite films. She described it as an "adventurously bad film" and "unspeakable poodle comedy" in her autobiography.
When it was released, Wild and Wonderful (1964) was penned by the critics and turned out to be a massive flop for Universal Pictures.
