Trivia

Be My Guest

Edit
Avril Angers, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Nashville Teens, The Zephyrs, Kenny & The Wranglers (as Kenny And The Wranglers), The Niteshades, and The Plebs all receive 'Guest Star' credits.
When the Smart Alecs are in their dressing room the walls have posters for other events at the Hippodrome. They are all refer to actual events. The Jimmy Edwards Panto took place in 1962. The Brighton Hippodrome still exists although closed as a venue. It is likely to be redeveloped but efforts (as of 2022) are being made to retain as much as possible of the Grade 2 listed building.
The sequel to Live It Up! (aka Sing and Swing) of 1963, also directed by Lance Comfort and featuring the pseudo-group The Smart Alecs - though in this they are now a trio in the absence of Heinz.
The "What a song, eh? You'll be on Top Of The Pops in no time. Smart Alecs." dialogue at 1:04:16 is sampled in the song "Just Play Music" at 1:31 by Big Audio Dynamite.
Opening credits: All characters and events in this film are fictitious. Any similarity to actual events or persons living or dead, is purely coincidental.
