At Darlington Race Track the close ups of Mike Marsh in some shots show him in blue overalls without goggles while in others in he's white overalls and clear goggles then when he enters the pits the goggles are dark.
During the Atlanta 500 race the #28 Ford changes from a 1964 Ford Galaxie to a 1965 Ford Galaxie and then back to a 1964 Ford Galaxie.
At the Atlanta race track Mike has clean goggles on but when the car develops trouble the goggles are dark,

Factual errors

It's good to see that Hollywood hasn't forgotten how to squeal tires on dirt tracks.
Mike's car would not have a radio as shown. 1965 Shelby GT350s did not come with radios. Radios became an option for Shelbys only in 1966.

Revealing mistakes

(at around 40 mins) A shot of Richard Petty driving shows him on the right side of the car. The negative must have been reversed.
(at around 1h 35 mins) When Mike Marsh ('James Caan') forces Dan ('Skip Ward') off the track, the ramp is visible that launched the car into the air.
