According to the TV series HOLLYWOOD AND THE STARS, Tom Laughlin saw Stefanie Powers auditioning for WEST SIDE STORY and signed her for LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON.
This film would have been Stefanie Powers' screen debut (under her early alias 'Taffy Paul'), but release was held up for five years.
