Columbia Pictures released this film on a double feature with The Long Haul (1957), with the tag line: "The Long Haul will DELIGHT You! The Hard Man Will EXCITE You!"
Guy Madison's stunt double, Richard Farnsworth, also doubled him in the television series 'The Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok'. Farnsworth very much resembled the actor at this time as the stuntman can be spotted as the tall, thin, posse man outside the ranger station at the beginning of the film. He went on to have an acting career of his own twenty years later. Here, his main stunt work is when Madison's horse rears as an assassin tries to shoot him from a roof top.
