Jack Larson (Eddie Landis) and James Bridges (Ike) met during the making of the film. They became domestic partners in 1958 and remained so until Bridges' death in 1993.
This was the director John H. Auer's final film before his death on March 15, 1975 at the age of 68.
The Shakespeare which Johnny Chandler (Stuart Whitman) reads to Nana (Ethel Barrymore) is an excerpt from Sonnet 29 ; which reads as follows:
