While examining the sphere, an Air Force corporal places devices around the object. The devices are actually reflective grids used by film crews to adjust the lighting in specific parts of a shot.
This was the final film work for editor Richard C. Currier, ending a career that included over 300 shorts and features going back to the silent era. His associate on this film, veteran editor Helene Turner, also retired after completing this film.
Completed in February 1958, one year prior to release, and several months following the untimely August death of actor Lyn Osborn.
