This short by Mike Jittlov is one of my favorites ever made. His use of fashion stills to produce a model's full turn is one of the best parts, much like the famous animation of Abraham Lincoln. When the 747 waggles its wings as it comes in for a landing, it sets me giggling, even though I've seen the film many times. The UFOs over LA are impressive, and the animation stand even gets to take a bow! Hard to find, but a must see. Mike is the most talented animator in Hollywood!
This compilation of brilliant and flawless animated and live action short films made by effects genius Mike Jittlov is a true masterpiece. It was nominated for an Oscar in 1979 for best animated short. It won many, many, other awards also. It includes Time Tripper, The Interview, and Fashionation. The third is my favorite. It consists of clever animation of hand drawn cels combined with cutouts set to a Petula Clark song to create a unique experience. It also features a brief cameo by the maker in stop motion form. What's also entertaining is that the lyrics in her song match what the animation is illustrating. Go to youtube.com and you will find this. Otherwise, you will never, ever find it. I can't stress that enough! Highly recommended though.

A compilation of short works of fantasy and adventure by a brilliant, self-taught SPFX wizard. With the most basic of tools, this modest genius creates short films of wonderful movement, colour and energy, sprinkled with humour and green stars. Jittlov dares to dream big and follows through with technical expertise second to none. His movies are thrilling, uplifting, and a joy to watch. Audiences never fail to gasp and cheer when they catch rare showings of these works in their full resolution and glory.
