This almost feels as if you are being forced to choose between your divorced mother and father right before the holiday season.
Prince Harry Is Putting Princess Eugenie In A Difficult Situation
Well, if there’s anyone who understands that feeling all too well right now, you better believe that it’s Princess Eugenie as she has just been put in a difficult situation by none other than Prince Harry.
That’s because the Duke of Sussex has invited Eugenie and her family to spend Christmas in Montecito this year. But at the same time, King Charles is planning to have one of the biggest Christmas celebrations that the royal family has seen in years.
Clearly, Princess Eugenie can’t be at both and is being forced to choose one. One source close to the situation put it this way, “Harry and Meghan have invited Eugenie and Jack to join...

British royal family news divulges that Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Excess, are getting pushback from their potential neighbors in Portugal. The main characters have allegedly bought a house that doesn’t exist. The two of them advertising that they have bought a phantom house isn’t weird—it’s right up their nonsense alley.
For anyone who thinks that Meghan and Harry are clowns, we beg to differ. They are in fact the most successful losers of all time–The Hollywood Reporter labeled them “the biggest losers” and Spotify called them f****** grifters. Plus Meghan keeps calling herself one of the most bullied people on earth, as if that’s a badge of honor. Here’s what to know about the village idiots.

Kit Harington's family with wife Rose Leslie has grown by one with their newest little addition. On July 3, a rep for the couple, who tied the knot in a romantic Scottish ceremony in 2018, confirmed to Popsugar that they welcomed their second child, a baby girl, who now joins their son that arrived in 2021.
Harington broke the news about his growing family on a Feb. 3 episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," sharing that his first child is "about to get the shock of his life." And though he's been keen on keeping his oldest out of the public eye, the dad of two and "Game of Thrones" alum has shared some of his parenting concerns previously.
Just like Jon Snow worried about winter coming for eight straight seasons of the HBO staple, Harington has expressed his concern about imminent existentially threatening weather-related events, too - namely, climate change...

Out now from Knopf Books for Young Readers, Kazoo's Noisemakers: 25 Women Who Raised Their Voices & Changed the World highlights courageous women who changed the world as we know it. The new collection features awesome artwork and insightful writing from some of the most talented artists working today, including Emil Ferris (My Favorite Thing is Monsters), who contributed a biography on the groundbreaking author Mary Shelley to the collection. As a special treat for Daily Dead readers, we've been provided with preview pages from Ferris' contribution, offering a look into the difficult past that shaped Shelley into one of the most influential authors of all time.
Here's what Kazoo Editor-in-Chief Erin Bried had to say about Ferris' contribution to Noisemakers:
"Noisemakers is a collection of biographic comics about women who’ve made history by raising their voices. I wanted to include Mary Shelley in the collection, because she used her voice...

In Ossorio’s nightmare vision, a legion of Knights Templar – executed horsemen whose eyes had been pecked out by crows – rise rotting from their graves, hunting only by sound in a quest for human flesh. Prolific Spanish film-maker who specialised in psychedelic gothic horror – often laced with sex and violence
According to the Internet Movie Database, the Spanish film-maker Jesús Franco, who has died aged 82, directed 199 films, from El árbol de España in 1957 to Al Pereira vs the Alligator Ladies in 2012, a record few can match in the era of talking pictures. Given that many Franco films exist in three or four variant versions, sometimes so radically different that alternative cuts qualify as separate movies, his overall tally might be considerably higher.
Born Jesús Franco Manera, he was most often credited – at least on international release prints – as Jess Frank or Jess Franco, though he used a host of pseudonyms, writing scripts as David Khune, composing music as Pablo Villa and co-directing pornographic films (with his long-term muse Lina Romay) as Rosa Almirall. Jess Franco, who has died aged 82, was a dedicated exponent of weird sex who leaves a vast and complex body of work
When the grand dames and gentlemen at Spain's 2009 Goya Film Awards sat drinking their champagne, I doubt many of them expected to see, before the night was through, a naked man and woman tied up and whipped in a circle of knives, two scimitar-wielding lesbians duking it out on a hilltop, a sadomasochistic orgy in a brothel or a coven of elderly witches massaging their nipples with a crucifix. Such, though, was the explosion of licentiousness in a montage of images from the career of Spanish filmmaker Jesús Franco Manera, aka Jess Franco, who received that night a lifetime achievement award.

Spanish director dies following a stroke: Best known for his nearly two hundred underground, "exploitation" films "I think I was born because my father and my mother had sex ... ." Nope, that has nothing to do with the anti-censorship lectured delivered by Oz the Great and Powerful and Interior. Leather Bar's James Franco online. The words above were uttered by another Franco, a Spaniard. No, not the foaming-at-the-mouth right-wing military ruler Francisco Franco, but multitasking filmmaker Jesús Franco, aka Jess Franco aka dozens of other aliases, including those in honor of jazz performers Clifford Brown and James P. His oeuvre included about 200 films, among them The White Slave, The Sexual History of O, Macumba Sexual, , Emmanuelle Exposed, Vampyros Lesbos, The Mistresses of Dr. Jekyll, and White Cannibal Queen. The Marquis de Sade was a French revolutionary politician, writer and philosopher who gifted the world with his libertine novels – Justine, Juliette and Philosophy in the Bedroom. He also produced the 120 Days of Sodom – a masterpiece of transgressive literature – a work that the Marquis spoke of wanting to present to the world – “the most impure tale that has ever been written since the world exists”.
Much speculation has centred on de Sade’s life – that he held orgies in which people were whipped, tortured and depraved. His name gave us the word ‘sadism’ which means cruelty and violence and it is particularly associated with sexual practices that are extreme in nature.
From almost the beginning of cinema, film makers have been applying their Sadean aesthetics onto the silver screen. We can see this in Luis Bunuel’s Un Chien Andalou (1929) with the infamous eye razor sequence – pure de Sade. De...

Editors Note: Welcome to the first of instalment of Mondo Squallido, which is a fantastic series of sleazy film reviews from a great YouTuber, and new member of the Blogomatic3000 team, called Pete (aka Mattei of the Dead – which Btw is a fantastic nickname!). I figured for the first episode I would ease it in and just slowly titillate and tease your senses of what you can expect from the series…. it was either this or a Japanese girl being taken by a dog with a strapon…. yeah…. This episode we look at a film by one of the most prolific and notorious directors, Jess Franco (Barbed Wire Dolls, Venus In Furs, Succubus) who will probably appear...

The Horror Channel are plotting a wonderful season of flicks on the theme of 'Eurotica'. And what does that mean, pray tell? Well it can best be summed up as European horror films with an erotic bent. Think iconic exploitation filmmaker, the mighty Jess Franco.

"Jesus Franco, now a physically frail Octogenarian living in Spain, is regarded as one of the world's best exploitation auteur directors and the Horror Channel is dedicating the month of June to showing four of the higher-budgeted Franco films made in 1969 and 1970, the period when British producer Harry Alan Towers...

Well, three weeks into January and the DVD and Blu-ray releases are heating up, with some of last summers biggest movies finally hitting the home formats, and some classic re-releases… Here’s the weeks highlights:
Grown Ups (DVD & Blu-ray)
In the tradition of The Big Chill, five childhood friends (Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade and Rob Schneider) reunite after 30 years to attend the funeral of their beloved youth basketball coach over the Fourth of July weekend. They all stay at the late coach’s lake house with their families in tow. Comedy ensues as they relive old times, tease each other, and try to show their kids how to have fun the old fashion way. The hilarious reunion shows them not only how different their lives have become, but how much they still have in common.
The Switch (DVD & Blu-ray)

Director Jess Franco was on-hand at Fantastic Fest during a screening of his 1969 film Venus in Furs, and he was surprised by the presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Sword. Lars Nilsen, film guru extraordinaire of the Drafthouse presented the award as part of the celebration of Franco's films going on during Fantastic Fest. The festival officially opened last Wednesday with a midnight screening of Franco's Eugenie: The Story of Her Journey into Perversion (1980), and since then they've shown Succubus (1968), and The Bare Breasted Countess (1973).
Franco has directed nearly 200 films since 1957, up to and including A Bad Day At The Cemetery from 2008. He's worked tirelessly in Spanish cinema as everything from composer, writer, cinematographer, and editor for years, and his films are truly different. To dismiss them as arthouse schlock is a crime, and if you have a chance you should seek out one of the three films featured on...

Day Five of Fantastic Fest consisted of one movie. One Movie! Is it a shame when you attend a film festival and see only one movie on a particular day? I’d normally say yes, but when you see the alternatives that were available, I hope you’ll side with me on this one. It was not a day wasted. Besides, I’m stacking my days fairly film heavy for the rest of the festival, and I have a stack of screeners to wade through still, so it will not have been in vain.
One note on the day: Fantastic Fest VIP badges went on sale Monday morning for 2010 … and they sold out in one minute. That’s right, 60 seconds. That shattered their record from last year, when they sold out in two minutes. Fairly incredible for a festival this size, and it just shows how much people covet those VIP passes,...

Jess Franco, who is perhaps the world’s most prolific living filmmaker, will be honored at the Xxiii Goya Awards Ceremony on February 1st, 2009. Franco will receive a Goya award, which is the highest award issued by the Spanish Academy of Art and Cinematographic Sciences. Much of the popular emphasis on Franco’s work has been on erotica or horror (Eugenie, Vampyros Lesbos, Exorcism, Bloody Moon) but his vast filmography includes action, science fiction, thrillers and mysteries. In addition to working with such creative forces as Christopher Lee, Herbert Lom, Orson Welles and Klaus Kinski, Franco single handedly kicked off the women-in-prison genre with his film 99 Women. Franco has not always worked with the biggest budgets but he has always been a truly original and valuable talent. Check beneath the fold for a video slideshow highlighting over 100 of Franco’s films.
