The Maltese Bippy (1969)

Trivia

The Maltese Bippy

Edit
Dan Rowan's last feature film performance.
Maudie Prickett's final feature film performance.
Rowan and Martin were adamant that co-stars from Laugh-In were not to featured on the film, they did not want to draw any connections to show, despite its success. MGM pushed for Goldie Hawn to star in the film but the duo held firm. This worked out best for Hawn as she went on to appear in Cactus Flower and won the Academy Award for supporting actress.
Ann-Margret was offered the part of Robin Sherwood but her then agent Alan Carr felt it was in the vein of Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein and aimed at 8-year-olds. He said the money was good but said no.
The names on the headstones in the cemetery are of former "Sock-it-to-me" victims from Laugh In. This was an idea of Rowan and Martin and the only thing in the movie related to their TV series.
