You Are a Widow, Sir! (1971)

Trivia

You Are a Widow, Sir!

Edit
In 2009, screenplay for this film, written by Milos Macourek, was adapted for the stage by Marta Ljubková and Zdenek Bartos. Premiere of the stage version directed by Zdenek Bartos was 31st December 2009 in Západoceské divadlo (West Bohemian Theatre), Cheb, Czech republic. Derniere was 1st December 2011.
According to some tabloid sources, Jirina Bohdalová was originally considered for the role of Evelyne Kelletti. Director Václav Vorlícek has repeatedly denied this misinformation. Together with Milos Macourek, they wrote the role specifically with Iva Janzurová in mind.
Final film of Gabriela Bártlová.
The character of Stuart Hample was named after US illustrator and writer Stu Hample, with whom Milos Macourek and Václav Vorlícek worked on a screenplay for US remake of their previous comedy Who Wants to Kill Jessie? (1966), which sadly never got produced.
This is the only Czech film crediting Olga Schoberová as Olinka Berová, which was her stage name in foreign productions.
