Very dated, but still a must-see.

Back in 1970, when the MPAA came with the rating system, people could now make those R-Rated films like crazy and one of the hotbeds for the pre-hardcore sex comedies/dramas was Quebec. From 1970 to the mid 80's, they made dozens of these nudies. One of the first was this one. I saw it on T.V. in the late '80s; the last time it aired on T.V. was June 29, 1991, and I never saw it again until Nov 24, 2000 when someone aired it again. This film is near impossible to rent but I'm sure there's a place in Quebec that would have it.

The story is about two housewives who are bored with their lives and decide to deal with it by having sex with any man who comes into the house. Whether he's the milkman, the phone repairman, the mailman, the pizza delivery guy, the carpet cleaner, even a guy who shovels the driveway, all are targets. Meanwhile, we also see the lives of their husbands. One is serious about getting a better job in Toronto, the other is a playboy who has a mistress and later in the film has sex with the other guy's wife. Later in the film, one of their targets dies after their lovemaking and they have to defend themselves for it.

The ladies in the film are very nice. In fact the two unscrupulous housewives, played by Monique Mercure and Louise Turcot, remind me of two ladies I spend a lot of time with. Even the guys have to let it hang out, which is something you don't see in today's soft-core films except for the gluteous shot. Yes, the film's editing isn't the best since it's low-budget. The film can only be found in French. Finally, it's weird to see natural beauties instead of the man-made babes we have to see today. But, this is one of the best examples of what the early nudie industry was and only Russ Meyer was better at it. Bonus: You'll see the Grey Cup game where it was "Rough Riders vs. Roughriders" from 1969, where my city won the CFL Championship and you'll see the only hip Prime Minister Canada ever had, the recently deceased Pierre Elliot Trudeau (1918-2000). Still a very entertaining film, done during a very bad winter; wait until you see how much snow they get in this city.

In 2006, the studio dubbed this film into English under the title Two Women In Gold. The English version, however, is inferior. A number of scenes were deleted (including visible footage of Prime Minister Trudeau) and for some strange reason the English in the original film was dubbed! One of the deleted scenes was the really funny one where Bob gets sprayed with snow from Yvon T.'s snowblower. The dubbed version does allow English speakers to understand what they were saying in French but that's about it. Make sure you find the original French version as it's way superior.

Technically horrible with a lot of laughs

Although I rated this film an 8 out of 10, it probably doesn't deserve it. But I really don't think anybody will complain. The movie is absolutely hysterical in the English dubbed version (the one I saw.) And the only people that will ever see this will be Ontarians or Quebecer's... I figure they'll be a bit more sympathetic to my feelings about it.

I woke up last night not being able to sleep so I turned the television on, I stumbled across this masterpiece on Bravo.. It's the two in the morning... so I figured, what the hell..

There really isn't much of a story to this, except two very beautiful housewives sexing all the delivery men (and women) in the city with a little twist near the end.. Lots of breasts and nipples shots, much to be enjoyed for purely nostalgic reasons *laugh*

This film would definitely receive an XXX rating in many American red states, if it were released today. Some might even mislabel this a b-rate porn.. But it's not, it's a comedy. Sure, there's a lot of nudity but ... Well, there is a lot :) But at it's core, it's just plain fun. Nothing to get worried about and definitely nothing to sweat over.

I can't recommend this film because there's likely no chance you'll ever find it in a video store or even online. Maybe by chance you'll run across it like I did., late night on television in Canada.

If you do, I hope it's the English dubbed version... the voices couldn't be any funnier.

An film worth renting only for boomers and elderlies.

A big commercial success and a technical flop. Many local star went naked in this film including an real-life union leader, singers and a big-time stand-up comic. Trudeau made a cameo at the football stadium. With most of them now dead or long survivors of their retirement age, it is nice to see how sexy they were then before their hair had turned white. Shooting this milestone of the sexual revolution must have been great fun.

It ain't what it used to be

I was 13 when this movie came out in Quebec. Everybody's was talkin' about it, having great fun relating their favorite gags. My father, brother, cousin, etc. everybody's having fun! But I was too young to see it, because it had nude sequences and it was a 18 years old + movie. Many years after, I saw it on TV. Gee... This is simply awful! And I don't say it because the sexy gags - very boring, in fact - are now very very old, but just because it is a cheap movie. If I was 18 in 1970, I'm sure that I also juge it awful. In a sociological point of view, I can understand why people of 1970's Quebec love it: they have a chance to see naked women. Gabba gabba hey! We just came out of years and years of catholic power over our lives and Deux Femmes en Or was surely a way to say enough is enough. Despite that, it was, and it is a very weak movie, and a technical atrocity. Good theme song by Robert Charlebois. I think that's all left from this mess.
