Trader Hornee (1970)

Trivia

Trader Hornee

Edit
Trader Horn (1973), a remake of Trader Horn (1931), was first released about just three years after its adult audience spoof Trader Hornee (1970).
Trader Horn (1973) was the first color version of a ''Trader Horn'' picture as the original Trader Horn (1931) was in black-and-white. However, the recent erotic parody Trader Hornee (1970) had also been in color.
The name of the financial institution that hired Private Detective Hamilton Hornee (Buddy Pantsari) was ''The Bank of Wabash''. Although there was a First National Bank of Wabash as far back as the 1800s, this is probably a punning reference to the state song of Indiana, "On the Banks of the Wabash, Far Away".
At the First Annual Erotica Awards in 1977, the movie received a retroactive Award of Merit from the Adult Film Association of America (AFAA) where the picture was given the gong of Best Adult Film 1966-1970. The best adult film special awards for merit were "based upon outstanding achievements in the sexplicit film industry prior to 1976."
The movie is an spoof and parody of the classic African safari adventure movie Trader Horn (1931).

Cameo

David F. Friedman: The movie's screenwriter as a barroom bum.
