Trivia

Chevrolet Presents the Golddiggers

Edit
This half-hour syndicated show spun off from the popular hour-long summer series Dean Martin Presents the Golddiggers (1968), which had aired on NBC for three years in place of The Dean Martin Show (1965) during the latter show's summer hiatus. The success of the summer show led to more prominent roles for The Golddiggers and a spin-off quartet, The Dingaling Sisters, on "The Dean Martin Show" during its regular season. With this new series aired in syndication, the Golddiggers could star in their own series during the regular fall, winter, and spring television months, independent of "The Dean Martin Show" (where the Ding-a-Ling Sisters would continue to appear). Many television markets carried both shows each week, which may have aired on the same or different days, and on the same or different networks (depending on the market).
The Golddiggers lineup during the second season (1972-'73) was: Jimmi Cannon (Jimmi McCarter), Karen Cavanaugh (Cavenaugh), Loyita Chapel, Jackie Chidsey, Rebecca Jones, Liz Kelley, Susan Lund (Susie Ewing), and Francie Mendenhall. Cannon, Chidsey, Kelley, Lund, and Mendenhall returned from the first season, while Cavenaugh, Chapel, and Jones were new additions to the troupe (replacing departing members Lee Crawford, Tanya DellaFave, Patty Gegenheimer, Nancy Reichert/Nancy Sinclair, and Janice Whitby).
The Golddiggers lineup during the first season (1971-'72) was: Jimmi Cannon (Jimmi McCarter), Jackie Chidsey, Lee Crawford, Tanya DellaFave, Patty Gegenheimer, Liz Kelley, Susan Lund (Susie Ewing), Francie Mendenhall, Nancy Reichert (Nancy Sinclair), and Janice Whitby. Chidsey, Kelley, Lund, Mendenhall, and Whitby had also appeared during the 1970-'71 season of The Dean Martin Show (1965), while Cannon, Crawford, DellaFave, Gegenheimer, and Reichert were new recruits.
