Occasionally the credits would appear in the wrong sequence, placing characters in the wrong flat.
The character of Arnold Feather lost his leg in the bomb blast. Actor Jeff Kevin had to play his scenes from then on with a fake "false leg" or in long trousers. About a year later, the writers, forgetting about the leg, had the character in shorts. When Jeff protested, they just said "oh, no-one will notice". The character's leg remained "regrown" from then on.
Following the shooting of the feature film version, the television production crew utilized the same colour footage shot at the building's actual exterior location in Woolahra for their end credits on TV. On location the delicatessen phone numbers shown in its window are 82-2031 and 82-2671; however on the interior-based studio set the numbers failed to correspond, showing instead as 382-2021 and 382-2671.
