Gabi Otterman was born in New Jersey and grew up in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area with English as his first language, but for reasons unknown was not asked to dub his own voice in the English-dubbed version.
The story-line and name of the central female character of Rose (Carol Kane) in the later Australian movie 'Norman Loves Rose' (1982) evoked and was similar to the earlier Israeli feature film 'I Love You Rosa' ('Ani Ohev Otach Rosa') (1972) which had been made and released about exactly a decade (or ten years) earlier.
