Bluebeard (1972)

Trivia

Bluebeard

Edit
The speaking voices of almost all of the European actresses in this movie were dubbed by Annie Ross of the famous jazz vocalese group Lambert Hendricks & Ross.
Writer and director Edward Dmytryk said in his biography that couple Richard Burton and Dame Elizabeth Taylor had serious alcohol problems during shooting. They were rarely sober.
Richard Burton once said about this movie that he was deliberately trying to imitate seasoned horror genre actor Vincent Price.
Raquel Welch has a little more than eight minutes of screentime.
A topless photo for which Joey Heatherton posed during filming was used on the cover of her 1972 music album when it was re-released in 2004. She said in an interview: "That was done by the great Harry Langdon, Jr., and I guess it was taken when I was making a movie with Richard Burton called Bluebeard (1972). I think it was taken between scenes on the set, and Harry said, 'Come on, you opened your robe in Bluebeard, can I have a shot?' He told me we weren't going to ever do anything with it, and years later, surprise! The people at the label told me about the shot, and I saw it, and it is pretty. I told them it was a perfect shot for the cover."
