- Carl Kolchak: [voice over] This is the story behind the most incredible series of murders to ever occur in the city of Seattle, Washington. You never read about them in your local newspapers or heard about them on your local radio or television station. Why? Because the facts were watered down, torn apart, and reassembled... in a word, falsified.
- Tony Vincenzo: [to the bartender in hearing who he believes is Kolchak in the bar] Take a look around that corner, and see if there isn't someone that looks like he just came from a road company performance of "The Front Page."
- Carl Kolchak: I just saw your "so-called killer" wipe up the street with your so-called police force!
- Tony Vincenzo: Go to Journalism School, my father said. It's a good, sound, down-to-earth profession.
- Carl Kolchak: Don't you want to hear this?
- Tony Vincenzo: What I want to do is raise tulips for a living but there's not enough demand.
- Tony Vincenzo: All right, all right. I'm willing to buy the idea that these two series of murders might somehow be connected. I'm even willing to buy that they might have been committed by the same man.
- Tony Vincenzo: [pausing before continuing] But a man, Kolchak, a man. Not some sort of a *super dead man*.
- Llewellyn Crossbinder: Get this straight, Mr. Kolchak. No carnival or hoopla tactics on this paper. This isn't Fun Town, USA. This is Seattle.
- Sheila: I'm sorry, Captain Schubert is very busy, you can't go in there.
- Carl Kolchak: Yeah, well, I gotta see him.
- Sheila: I said you cannot go in there!
- Carl Kolchak: I'm going in there, sweetheart.
- Capt. Roscoe Schubert: What's going on here?
- Sheila: I told him you were busy, sir.
- Carl Kolchak: I've been trying to see you since one-thirty this morning, and I'm not gonna leave until I do.
- Capt. Roscoe Schubert: It's all right, Sheila.
- Sheila: I'm sorry, sir.
- Capt. Roscoe Schubert: It's all right, Sheila.
- Carl Kolchak: [voice over - as he watches Louise's dancing] Friday, April 7, 10:21 PM. I wouldn't have believed if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, but Louise Harper's hips could move as fast as her mouth.
