Marlène Jobert and Jean Yanne in We Won't Grow Old Together (1972)

Trivia

We Won't Grow Old Together

Edit
Marlène Jobert tells in her autobiography that director Maurice Pialat and lead actor Jean Yanne did not speak to each other on the shooting. She served as an intermediate between the two of them.
Jean Yanne's wife was dying in a hospital during the shooting of the movie.
Writer/director Maurice Pialat has claimed the film to be autobiographical, with Jean Yanne's character resembling him, even physically.
Anne Caprile sued writer/director Maurice Pialat in 1972, claiming that the film ripped off her 1970 play "Les Guss". Caprile won the case in January 1978, with Pialat condemned to pay her eighty thousand French Francs in damages, but Pialat appealed in September 1980 and won, with Caprile condemned herself in 1982. A few years later, she wrote a play, "Le Jugement", based on this experience.
Visa de contrôle cinématographique N° 38.823.
