Just as students are looking forward to winter break, Netflix has ordered the Sex Education TV show to series. Described as a "coming-of-awkward-age dramedy," Sex Education comes from creator Laurie Nunn, who is new to the world of series TV. She is writing the series, which should premiere in 2019. Catastrophe vet Ben Taylor will direct and executive produce. Netflix says Sex Education follows Otis Thompson, an inexperienced, socially uneasy high school student, who happens to be the son of a sex therapist. Thanks to easy access to his mother's professional materials, he and his "bad girl" classmate, Maeve, set up a sex therapy program for their peers. No cast has been announced.
