Bandhe Haath (1973)

Trivia

Bandhe Haath

Edit
Amitabh Bachchan played dual roles for the first time.
Amitabh Bachchan has fond memories of an act of goodwill shown to him by Mumtaz Askari, who was already a huge star and Amitabh was still a struggler in the industry. Amitabh owned a Fiat at the time and often wondered what driving a Mercedes-Benz would be like. One day after pack-up, Amitabh noticed his car was missing, and was told by Mumtaz's driver that 'Madam had left in his Fiat.' The driver then handed Amitabh the keys of her Mercedes to use for the night.
Considered Amitabh Bachchan's biggest commercial disaster at the box office.
Dekho Yeh Mere Bandhe Hath (Kya Jaano Main Hoon Kaun).R.D. Burman had used the tune of this song earlier for the Bengali film song "Tobu Bole Keno Sahasai" ("Rajkumari", 1970). The original song was also sung by Kishore Kumar.
Final film of Amitabh Bachchan Pre stardom when his films were not doing well.Film had released just before Zanjeer 1973.
