The Road West (1966)

Trivia

The Road West

Edit
Heard over composer Leonard Rosenman's rousing main title: "Kraft -maker of fine foods - presents . . . 'The Road West' . . . starring Barry Sullivan, Glenn Corbett, Kathryn Hays, Andrew Prine [pause for effect and / or timing] and Brenda Scott." Veteran voice artist Ed Herlihy, familiar from "Kraft Music Hall" and other radio and television properties sponsored by Kraft, announces each star's name as it is accompanied by four, quickly edited, episodic film clips of the regular cast member. Following each show's conclusion and a Kraft commercial, then Herlihy's voice introduced a preview for the following week's adventure. And concluded each "The Road West" with: "This is Ed Herlihy speaking."

It should be noted the main title narration was eclipsed from off-network, syndication prints as well as the copies of the 29 hours shipped to foreign markets since Kraft's involvement was only tied into the initial airings on NBC. That is evident from what is available on YouTube.
