Originally broadcast on the BBC in three parts, each at least 2½ hours in length. The first part was titled "Henry VI", the second part was titled "Edward IV" and the third part "Richard III". "Henry VI" comprised of Henry VI Part 1 and Acts I and II of Henry VI Part 2; "Edward IV" comprised of Henry VI Part 2, Act III onward and the whole of Henry VI Part 3. The third part consisted simply of the play "Richard III".
