Rupert Davies was cast in a major supporting role but was replaced before filming.
Filming was postponed on several occasions which led to casting changes. At one stage Vic Damone was set to co-star, and Terence Fisher to direct.
Vincent Price said that an X-rated version of this film was later made after he and Martha Hyer had completed their participation.
The movie takes place in Tangier; a city in northwestern Morocco, on the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
