- The Hollywood Producer: [dissatisfied with the footage of Rafe's latest movie, to the projectionist] That's enough!
- [the lights in the screening room come on]
- The Hollywood Producer: Why did you waste your money showing me this crap? Bike movies are out.
- Rafe Stoker: Joe, I did three bike films for you for practically nothing. Hey, you know, you made a lot of money on me.
- The Hollywood Producer: Oh, now we're gonna start on that, are we, Rafe?
- Rafe Stoker: All right. I begged and I borrowed, and I stole $125,000 to make this movie, and a lot of people are depending on me, and I'm not gonna let them down. I need $375,000. If you don't give it to me, I'm screwed.
- The Hollywood Producer: Sorry, Rafe. No.
- Julie: [to Rafe] Let's get out of here.
- Rafe Stoker: Yeah, let's... let's get out of here.
- The Hollywood Producer: Rafe. Wait a minute.
- [gets out a business card]
- The Hollywood Producer: Here's a number in southern Florida. The man's name is Angelo Russo. I'd advise you not to call him.
- Rafe Stoker: [to cameraman Dave] How did it look?
- Dave: How the hell should I know?
- Rafe Stoker: Did you get it or didn't you get it? Have you got a problem?
- Dave: Oh, no problem. I'm just working ten-hour days and I just a shot a chase sequence that takes three cameras and I have one. I'm shooting this thing with short ends from Gone With the Wind.
- Rafe Stoker: Dave...
- Dave: The crew's so tired they can't even...
- Rafe Stoker: Dave! Did you get the shot?
- Dave: You bet your ass!
- Julie: [she and Rafe are waiting at a restaurant for Angelo and his men to show up] They said a half an hour. It's been 40 minutes. Let's go.
- Rafe Stoker: They took half my movie, and I'm gonna get it back, and I'm waiting.
- Julie: The movie. Well, it doesn't seem worth it.
- Rafe Stoker: It's worth it. It's worth it.
- Julie: Oh, for Christ's sakes, Rafe! A few days ago, there were dead bodies all over town. Do you think that a movie is worth it?
- Rafe Stoker: It wasn't my fault. I finished the movie and it's good.
- Julie: Sure, it was good.
- [two of Angelo's men show up and shoot Rafe and Julie to death]
- The Sheriff: [driving a beaten-up Rafe to the station] I'm gonna tell you your rights. You have the right to remain silent.
- Rafe Stoker: I don't wanna remain silent! I wanna know what the hell I'm doing in the back of a police car with handcuffs on me!
- The Sheriff: You're going to jail. What do you think you're doing?
- Rafe Stoker: What for?
- The Sheriff: Who were those guys you're fighting with back there?
- Rafe Stoker: Look, I don't know who they were! I know they were out of their goddamn minds!
- The Sheriff: What'd they want with you?
- Rafe Stoker: Hey, look, how am I gonna report it to you? You wanted to chase me out of town already once, today!
- The Sheriff: When are you people gonna get down to some reality? That's a real gun I saw back there! These people aren't playing around with you! What the hell you think you're doing, you want to make one of these cheap Hollywood movies? Now, we had this damn town cleaned up for those bikers coming to you, when that damn movie crew came in here. Now, they're back.
- Rafe Stoker: You know, this is really ridiculous. I don't believe it. Being here with you is like playing a bad scene in a b-movie with a dumb honky sheriff.
- The Sheriff: Well, you keep it up, mouth. I'll show you a honky cop.
- Rafe Stoker: You got a cigarette?
- The Sheriff: I don't smoke.
- Rafe Stoker: I figured you would. Look, I know this is hard for you to understand, but all I wanted to do was make a movie. I didn't want to cause you any problems, I didn't want to cause me any pain. But I gotta finish this movie. Will you let me?
- The Sheriff: You gotta finish your movie?
- Rafe Stoker: Yeah.
- The Sheriff: Well, I'll tell you what, I'm gonna let you finish your movie, but I'm not doing you any favors, 'cause this dumb honky cop wants a piece of their ass!
- Rafe Stoker: Thank you. Can I ask you something?
- The Sheriff: You haven't shut your mouth yet, have you?
- Rafe Stoker: What I'd like to know is that who do you hate most, me, the bikers, or yourself?
- The Sheriff: You're just gonna have to wait to find out, aren't you?
