The film is featured prominently in two scenes. One is where the character Susan watches it passionatly in the movie theatre and the second time, when a nazi officer masturbates, while the film is projected onto Susan's nude body.
The re-creation of the "Portrait of Journalist, Sylvia Von Harden" painting during the opening cabaret scene, as well as numerous other visual cues and references.
