    Awe-tastic !

I saw this film when it first debuted in 1976 at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C. More than 3 decades later, it's still playing there. That's a testament to how good this short film really is.

I was 10 years old when this came out, and if you have kids, take them to see this. It will leave them breathless. The Imax format is so big, the movie screen is over 5 stories tall! Watching the landing gear of a 747 get sucked up into the belly on takeoff is something that will leave you saying "wow!" If you're an aviation enthusiast, this is a must-see.

    I fly is believe.

The movie To Fly! is audience participate through believe.

To Fly! is soul experience of human creation. People are amazing.

The movie starts off with hot air balloon ride through a small town. The person on board almost hits a building.

The balloon then travels over a river and warns a kayak of cliff ahead.

The movie transition through various scenes, like with bi-plane and eventually jet then small rocket. I almost feel like I am part of movie, unique point of views.

The best moment is a train. I will not spoil why or how.

The movie is suitable for all ages. My parents took me at 5. Children might get frightened now and then but not scared.

Do you a favor. See To Fly! at the Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC. You will never forget. If you are like me you will make a special trip to see again.

One of the first Imax movies i saw as a kid

Back when Imax was just confined to museums and not the multiplex, short films like To Fly amazed audiences with the stellar Imax cinematography and six track analog surround sound. This film is worthy of a rental and highly recommended if you like planes and stuff.
