A promo for the movie was shot prior to the main feature, to persuade producers to finance the production.
In the late 1970s the US experienced a fascination with semi-truck drivers and CB (Citizens' Band) radios, which most truckers had in their rigs. CB radios were mass produced and successfully marketed and sold to the general public.
The film's title refers to a CB (citizens band radio) term in which a driver is requesting to break into a conversation. Its usually followed by a numbered code indicating the channel the user wants to break in on.
In the corral fight scene the horse imitating Chuck Norris' moves is very similar to the cat imitating Bruce Lee in The Way of the Dragon (1972) when he fights Norris.
