Parvarish (1977)

Trivia

Parvarish

Edit
Manmohan Desai shot this film and Amar Akbar Anthony at the same time in the same studio.
Many of the character's names are the same or shortened versions of their real names, such as Amitabh is called Amit, Shabana Azmi is called Shabbo, Neetu Singh is called Neetu, Dev Kumar is called Dev and Shammi Kapoor is called Shamsher.
In the song "Hum Premee Prem Karna Jaane", Amitabh is wearing a white suit, symbolizing that he is the good son, while Vinod Khanna is wearing a black suit, symbolizing that he is the evil son.
This movie shares a number of similarities with "Zameer" that was released two years earlier. In both movies, Shammi Kapoor and Indirani Mukherjee play husband and wife and in both movies Vinod Khanna is their real son while Amitabh Bachchan is their adopted son.
After 11 years, in 1988, Pehlaj Nihalani and Shibu Mittra remade Parvarish as Paap Ki Duniya with Sunny Deol, Neelam, Chunky Pandey, Rubaina, with Danny Denzongpa and Pran.
