Jennifer (1978) starred Lisa Pelikan as a misfit at an elite private school who takes revenge on her tormentors using her psychic power over snakes. Ruby (1977) was another. All four film titles feature the first name of the title protagonist character.
Lisa Pelikan contracted bronchitis during the making of this movie. Pelikan revealed in an online interview that she never received a percentage from the box office profits of this film.
