The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors authorized the filmmakers to be able to film in their buildings in the county seat city Martinez in California, USA according to an article published in the 15th December 1976 issue of 'The Oakland Tribune' newspaper.
The name of the bordello was ''Friendship Farm''.
The movie's closing credits state: "Special thanks to: Contra Costa County and the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Department, Fitzpatrick Chevrolet, Inc., Colonel & Mrs. Robert V. Kane".
The movie was released on home video in some versions under the shorter and similar title of ''Midnight Auto Supply''. The picture's working title also had a similar title, which was even shorter, it being ''Midnight Auto''.
