Many of the character names are takeoffs on famous ones. "Darrin Blue" is a variation of Dorian Gray, "Jean Harlot" of Jean Harlow, "Dolly Martin" of Dolly Parton and "Truman Coyote" of Truman Capote.
Featured several cast and crew members who went on to mainstream careers: Wade Nichols recorded a disco album that produced two dance hits, "Like an Eagle" and "New York by Night." He also played Detective Derek Mallory on The Edge of Night (1956) daytime drama from 1979 until his death in 1984. Georgina Spelvin appeared in a number of mainstream films, including the "Police Academy" movies. Pe Drinda Lalumia went on to roles in "White Oleander," "Gia," and "NYPD Blue." Cinematographer Joao Fernandes became the director of photography on the series "Walker, Texas Ranger" and was also a director on the series. He also was the cinematographer for "Children of the Corn" and "Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter." Screenwriter Daria Price penned the screenplay for The Nesting (1981) and went on to produce several documentaries.
