Richard Beckinsale and Paula Wilcox in The Lovers! (1973)

Trivia

The Lovers!

Edit
Two of the young stars of this film, died in their early thirties: Richard Beckinsale (Geoffrey) of a heart attack, aged 31, in 1979 and Susan Littler (Sandra) of cancer, aged 34, in 1982.
Footage from two Manchester United games appears on screen - versus Leeds United (30.10.1971) and Arsenal (26.8.1972).
George Best's Edwardia fashion boutique was genuine. Sited on Motor Street, he and Mike Summerbee opened it in March 1967, and the Manchester United star could indeed often be seen on its premises, causing much excitement from younger fans keen to catch a glimpse of him. It folded in the 1970s, and in 2014 the site became a Crazy Pedro's Part-Time Pizza Parlour.
Paula Wilcox's debut.
In the parent series it's implied Geoffrey only lives with his father, not both parents. His home-life is never seen.
