Scream Blacula Scream (1973)

FAQ

Scream Blacula Scream

FAQ

The bones of African Prince Mamuwalde (William Marshall), turned into a vampire over 200 years ago by Dracula himself, are resurrected by a voodoo ceremony. Mamuwalde finds himself in the middle of a power struggle between Willis Daniels (Richard Lawson), the son and rightful heir of the recently deceased voodoo queen Mama Loa, and her adopted apprentice Lisa Fortier (Pam Grier). After turning Willis into his renfield, Blacula turns to Lisa to help him exorcise the 'demonic presence' that has taken over his body. Meanwhile, as the bloodless bodies begin to mount, Lisa's boyfriend Justin Carter (Don Mitchell), a collector of African art and friends with the police, begins to suspect that Mamuwalde might be a vampire.

Scream Blacula Scream! was written by Joan Torres and Raymond Koenig, the same screenwriters who wrote the screenplay for the precursor movie Blacula (1972) (1972), with the addition of co-writer Maurice Jules.
