Oh dear. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear.
As much as we all hoped and prayed that WWE wouldn’t go the obvious route, they only went ahead and did it anyway, shamelessly putting Roman Reigns over Dean Ambrose and Brock Lesnar (clean!) to ensure him a one-way ticket to WrestleMania 32.
The internet backlash has, of course, been venomous. #CancelWWENetwork found itself trending worldwide once more, just as it did in the aftermath of the 2015 Royal Rumble – another match which ensured that Reigns would be appearing in the main event of ‘Mania.
Of course, most of the chatter on Reddit, Twitter, and various message-boards has centred around that booking decision, but people still had a lot to say about the other matches on the card. Again, not much of it is positive – but it sure as hell makes for an entertaining read. Here are fifteen of the best...

The big news is that FX announced that the Fox Soccer channel will be turned into a sister channel of FX. Fxx will focus on younger viewers than FX. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Legit and The League (which were all renewed for additional seasons) will move to the network along with Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, which will become a daily late night talk show. Combined, the two networks (along with the movie-focused Fxm channel) hopes to create 25 hours of original programming.
Meanwhile, the mothership FX has renewed Justified for a fifth season and ordered its first mini-series, a 10-episode adaptation of Fargo, which will follow the same basic characters dealing with a new crime. The channel is also developing a handful of potential series including a portrait of...

If you’re like me (e.g. have amazing taste in music, possess an innate ability to identify quality storytelling set to beats) and you like high concept music videos, then Lord Huron’s first video from Lonesome Dreams for “Time to Run" is one you do not want to miss. If you're not like me - :( - and you don't enjoy music videos that offer a little something more than sex appeal, I still think you’ll be happy you clicked play. “Time to Run” is kinetic, vibrant, and alive. It’s about the foolish things men do that might land them on the end of a rope chased down by a posse in the dessert. Sure, that might not be a relatable scenario for everyone, but Lord Huron has a way of making it feel all too familiar. The video is an homage to the Technicolor Westerns...

The PS1 classic, Metal Gear Solid, brought higing in lockers to the masses, and stealth hasn't been the same since...
The year is 1998. Millions of PlayStation owners excitedly pop in the latest action-adventure game from publisher Konami, the intriguingly-titled Metal Gear Solid. Following a five-minute-long and highly atmospheric opening cut scene, the lead character, a special forces commando named Solid Snake, is dropped off at the entrance to a quiet dock, where a white-clad guard patrols.
“Right then,” thinks the player. “I’ve got no gun. That guy has a gun. Time to run up to him, knock him out, and nick his gun. Then the shooting can start!” They do this. Snake promptly gets shot in the head.
Undeterred, the crafty player tries a different tack the second time around. This time, they quietly sneak up to the guard. But before they can finish knocking him out,...

Every year around Comic Con time I start thinking of older or lesser-known comics that would be great on screen. (Time to run a list, I know.) One that has long been in mind is Matt Wagner's Mage. The series depicts the adventures of an ordinary, down on his luck guy who meets a mage and discovers that he has a greater destiny than he'd ever suspected. Wagner's art and scripting are powerful, simple and direct, and Mage could make a hell of a film. Now it might get there as Watchmen producer Lloyd Levin has optioned the series. Variety says that Levin has taken the rights to the first story arc, called The Hero Discovered. Wagner planned three arcs, The Hero Discovered, ...Defined and ...Denied, but only the first two have ever been published. Discovered ran from '84 to '86, and Defined didn't appear until '97. (One of...
