Trivia

Halfon Hill Doesn't Answer

Edit
Voted in 2005 as the most popular Israeli movie of all time.
The Israeli camp number is 338 according to the conversation between Hasson and the guard). The Egyptian camp number is 242 (written in Arabic numerals on a sign to the right of the entrance). These are the numbers of two UN security council's resolutions, accepted in 1973 and 1967 respectively concerning the post-war situation in the middle east.
The song "Ten Lasim T'arosh Al Dyuna" (Hebrew for "Rest your head on the dune") was filmed and recorded in one continuous session on location.
A sequel was in the first stages of scripting, again by Assi Dayan, but was canceled due to the death of Yisrael Poliakov, who played Sergio, in October 2007. The plot supposedly dealt with the lives of the three main characters 30 years after the original events took place. However, a documentary about the movie is planned instead.
The guard at the entrance to the camp (at whom Victor Hasson gets mad) is the film's composer, co-producer and co-screenwriter, Naftali Alter.
