Trivia

Kaala Sona

Edit
Danny and Feroz Khan went hunting in the jungles and killed a wild chicken. Danny Denzongpa ended up getting jaundice because he ate the wild chicken he hunted .
After Kala Sona, Harish Shah and Vinod Shah started a untitled film in 1976. Starring Feroz Khan,Reena Roy,Danny Denzongpa,Asrani. Music by Rahul Dev Burman, Directed by Ravikant Nagaich. The film was a remake of the Hollywood movie Taras Bulba. After shooting for a month, a major mishap happened. Many songs and scenes were shot and the negatives were sent to Bombay. The lab reported many shots were out of focus. When Ravikant came to Bombay to saw the print. The entire shooting was out of focus. They lost 8 lakh rupees. Ravikant had incorporated a Russian camera for the film. It was also his ide to shoot the film in cinemascope. Producer Vinod Shah and Ravikant had a very bad falling out with each putting the blame on each other. Ravikant never had faith in the script. It was Feroz, the producers and R.D.Burman who believed in the film. Ravikant left the film and Narender Bedi was signed as his replacement. But then they soon realized another producer named Tariq Hussain remade Taras Bulba and had already released it. All plans to make the film now were dropped.
Danny Denzongpa's get up was that of a Native Red Indian. This was rare but at the same time made no sense as there were practically no Native Red Indian's in India.
The film was a super hit at the box office.
The title music was later used for the tune of "Tum Kya Jaano Mohabbat" in Hum Kisse Se Kum Nahin.
