When Joy left, the script called for her to walk up the driveway of the studios, past the camera, to sit on her suitcase, and hitch hike on the actual Highway 27 in Kleinburg. This was a Friday night and Highway 27 was a major road for people heading from the Toronto area, north to cottage country. There were several production lights beside the highway which made it very bright, and before the station wagon that was supposed to stop and give Joy a ride, an innocent person not connected with the production, stopped to give her a ride. Unfortunately, as it turned out, the scene was judged to be too dark during editing, and apparently deleted.

A freak early snow storm hit the production and so snow scenes were included in the film.
