The original Italian title "Si può essere più bastardi dell'ispettore Cliff?" translates as "Can you be more (of a) bastard than Inspector Cliff?".

After The Nightcomers (1971)'s nude scenes, Stephanie Beacham is stark naked also in this movie. "I found myself making another film in Italy...and wandering about wearing nothing but a pair of sun-glasses and a blonde wig," Beacham said in 1986. "There's fantastic money In films for anybody who's prepared to take her clothes off... but I went back to reestablish my career as an actress."
