This is the first film Shanker got after Jaikishan death, major break, a big film and major banner and big filmaker. Their old faithful Sohanlal Kanwar had faith in him and gave him the film. Many thought Shanker cant compose without Jaikishan but Shanker proved them wrong. As it is they were working seperatly before. In the credit tittles the name was the same ' Shanker Jaikishan'.
Mukesh sang for Shanker-Jaikishan, for the first time in 1948 in Barsaat. The last time Mukesh sang for Shanker-Jaikishan was after 26 years in 1974 for Sanyasi.
It was third super hit film of 1975 after Sholay and Jai Santoshi Ma..Shankar Jaikishan's melodious music was the main reason behind success of the film. It was third hit movie of Actor Manojkumar Director Sohanlal Kanwar and Shankar Jaikishan. other two Pehchan(1970) & Beimaan(1972).
Prem Nath dialogue " Bham Bham Maha Deo" became a rage among the audience.
Chal Sanyasi Mandir Mein was sampled in the song On ! by Mathaius Young and Tre Capital.
