Sixpack Annie (1975)

Trivia

Sixpack Annie

Edit
When the drunk Texan (Richard Kennedy) empties his pockets at the bar, a frequent flyer card bearing the Trans Global Airlines logo from 'Airport' (1970) is shown to be among his belongings.
Final theatrical feature film of actor Vince Barnett who played a bartender. He appeared in three movies that year with the others being 'Crazy Mama' (1975) and 'Summer School Teachers' (1975) which both first released earlier.
The movie's star Lindsay Bloom once said of this film: ''Some of the language I use is pretty salty. That and the nude scene is why they [the MPAA] gave it an 'R' rating. To give you an idea how subtle the picture is, Annie lives in a town named Titwillow. But it's a start. It's led to the possibility of a major movie at Warner Brothers. These days a young actress has to take one step at a time."
Debut theatrical feature film of actor Bruce Boxleitner who played Bobby Joe.
The name ''Annie'' was a name that had been made famous as an American Southern Belle name within the Southern American states / U.S. country 'n' western settings particularly through the famous Western genre character of Annie Oakley and the earlier picture 'Annie Get Your Gun' (1950). 'Sixpack Annie' (1975) was actually first released in the 25th Anniversary year of the romantic-comedy western-musical 'Annie Get Your Gun' (1950). Annie Oakley there was portrayed by Betty Hutton, who was a blonde, as was Lindsay Bloom, who played Sixpack Annie.

Cameo

Billy Barty: Uncredited, as a pie vendor carrying pies in the closing scene.
